From 1984 comes ZÜÜL, a band of pure metal heart and soul. Wait, what? This came out this year? And they’re a newer band? Well now, that throws a bit of perspective on it, doesn’t it?
In the same vein as a ton of real metal bands that are older than myself, ZÜÜL release their newest album and it’s a killer fist pumping disc full of sing-along choruses and riffs as electric as lightning to your face.
If you’re into stuff like Grand Magus, Judas Priest, or Metalian, you’ll probably get a stiff for ZÜÜL.
9 out of 10.
ZÜÜL on MySpace.
The founder of Funeral Rain Records in January 2009 and Funeral Rain Zine in March 2009, Dustin "General Blaspheme" Ekman has been listening to rock since he can remember and metal since 1998, starting with nü-metal then quickly moving on to death, then black, then expanding onwards to what he listens to now: everything. ///
Favorite bands: Darkthrone, My Dying Bride, Cannibal Corpse, Bush. ///
Favorite album: My Dying Bride - A Line of Deathless Kings. ///
First live show: Kittie with Disturbed supporting and Shuvel opening.
