Diabolical Demon Director – The Demon Chamber

Genre: Death Metal, Thrash
Label: Independent

You’ve read the interview, now read the review! Diabolical Demon Director: The Movie!!!

Just fucking around… anyway, I guess the Awesome Aussie Trio of Death Justice, Death Angel and Necrohammer, decided to let me have another shot at their library, so I present to you, The Demon Chamber: The Review!

Keeping true to their metallic nature and to the beloved genre of metal as a whole, Diabolical Demon Director play they’re souls black in The Demon Chamber. The most noticeable difference since their last effort, Inside The Cistern, the production value has risen tremendously! Other than that, it’s the same rippin’ metal that I fell in love with a few months ago; heavy, shredding riffs, throat searing growls and gravels, Earth splitting bass and megaton drumming. If I had room on my vest, I patch these guys on up! Diabolical Demon Direct lives, breaths, eats and shit METAL!!!!

Overall: As unpleasant a time it seems like it would be in The Demon Chamber, it fucking rules! Blackened, thrashy death metal that scorches the soul and feed the beast!

Bloodsoaked – Sadistic Deeds… Grotesque Memories

Posted in Reviews on March 14th, 2010 by Typhon

Genre: Brutal Death Metal
Label:
Comatose Music

The moniker pretty much says it all; brutal death metal that’s all about the finer things in life (i.e., dismemberment, bloodbaths, necrophilia and the general gore, guts and gore formula that makes this genre so unique… SARCASM!)

As far as the enjoyable factor goes, this album scores pretty high! Macabre maestro Peter Hasslebrack handles all the repulsive responsibilities in Bloodsoaked, including the drum programming. “Uh-oh!” I hear you all saying. “But Typhon, Mortician is the death metal band that’s allowed to use a drum machine!” Well folks, you might be right, but what the hell. He’s only one man! Let it go…

Anyway, Sadistic Deeds… is a highly enjoyable album with it’s brutal tones and vicious vibes. Peter rip-riffs through his songs like a twenty-six year old cock rips through seventeen year old hymen! Vocally, I kind of expected it to be weak, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear that this guy can growl! Not only does he roar with the best of them in the same style the entire album, he manages to keep it from growing stale! Major respects on that end, most definitely!

Overall: Mid-paced death metal from a genius, one man wrecking crew!  If you’re a die hard fan of brutal death metal, then don’t pass this album up! If you’re a beginner to the genre, then this is a great start as well.
